6 months agoI’ve been running all season tires on my Kia for a few years now, mostly because it’s just easier—not having to swap tires twice a year. But with Edmonton winters being what they are, I’m starting to worry if I’m risking safety. Has anyone kept all season tires year-round on their Kia and stayed safe, or is it better to switch?

6 months agoI drove my Kia on all season tires for a couple of winters here in Edmonton. They managed okay when the snow was light, but once the roads got icy or temperatures dropped, they didn’t provide the grip I needed. I remember one slippery morning when I almost lost control — it was a real wake-up call. After switching to dedicated winter tires, driving became much safer and more confident. If you mostly stick to clear city roads and drive carefully, all season tires might be enough, but for true peace of mind during harsh winters, I’d recommend investing in winter tires.
