Singapore-based technology company D-Links International Pte. Ltd. embraces green approach in products, one of its efforts to save energy and environment, an official said on Wednesday.
In an exclusive interview with China's Xinhua News Agency, Estella Tan, the company's sales director said that the green technology is not only adapted in its products, but also in product packages with the usage of recycled paper.
"We don't just sell product but we also aim to save energy and environment. At least, with our small effort, we participate in saving this planet," said Tan.
She said that the company is one of the first in applying green technology in its products.
She took examples of its unmanaged switch product that automatically reduce power consumption while idle.
"The maximum power saving is about 80 percent," she said.
She also said that the company's router products consume less power than others.
"The length of cable affects power consumption. The longer cable, the more power consumption. But, we manage to equalise power consumption in both cable lengths in an efficient one," she said.
