G Club Penang Cyclists Guide Blind Cyclists Atop Tandem Bikes

Maybe they do not have the gift of sight, but they can still feel the wind in their faces.

And they can enjoy that satisfying transfer of kinetic force from the legs to the pedals to the wheels.

They just need someone to be their eyes.

Several members of the G Club Penang Cyclists gave their day of rest to residents of the St Nicholas Home for the visually impaired recently. At the Gurney Paragon X-Ride, they brought them on a cycling trip, using tandem bikes.

Many of the residents have never been on a bicycle. But G Club members had complete control at the front of the tandem bikes. The residents simply had to enjoy the ride.

Though the trip took only about an hour, it was unforgettable for the St Nicholas folks.

This video is dedicated to the kind G Club members who took part. Enjoy the show. :o)
