Now in traditional backpcking you carry a backpack but in bikepcking you carry a foldable bicycle and a pannier bag. No additional bags unless you want to What you need to carry depends on how long you want to bikepack. But basically you need like 2-3 sets of light, quick dry t-shirts, skinnix underpants, a jeans type shorts which I wear instead of cycling pants. The usual stuff that you would carry are more or less the same as an ordinary bckpacker, like 1) Personal effects. (Good to put all in a pouch) 2) First aid kit with diarrohea pills, plasters, panadol, anitseptic cream 3) Your notebook with usb cables for charging yout handphone (I have Blackberry) 4) A fitover sunglasses 5) Maps (I rely heavily on my Blackberry GPS) 6) A pouch I strap to my belt where I have my money, passport and lunch bars |
